This October, Currumbin RSL is proud to celebrate Queensland Seniors Month by bringing our community together to connect, celebrate and create lasting memories. Throughout the month, we’ll be hosting a range of events and activities designed to recognise the incredible contribution of seniors in our community, foster new connections and enjoy time together. Come along, get involved and celebrate Seniors Month with us at Currumbin RSL!

Join us for a FREE community event for seniors, bringing together 30+ organisations — including local clubs, activity groups, health providers, support services, community groups and state government services — all in one place.
It’s the perfect opportunity to meet organisations face-to-face, ask real questions and discover new ways to stay active, informed, supported and connected as you age.
Whether you’re after a new hobby, a social group, a volunteering opportunity, or simply want to know what’s available to you, this is your chance to explore it.
Friday 30 October
10am–2pm
Currumbin RSL, Waterside Function Space

Our regular Cuppa & Chat is making way for something special this month, with Associate Professor Kerryn Pike joining us to talk brain health.
Our brains need a workout too — and the good news is, there’s a lot we can do to protect our cognitive health as we age.
Joining us to unpack what that looks like is Associate Professor Kerryn Pike, a Clinical Neuropsychologist from Griffith University.
From memory tips and everyday strategies to the lifestyle habits that genuinely make a difference, Kerryn will walk us through what brain health really means and how to look after yours.

Join our Fun & Ageless group for FREE and connect with other like-minded people to enjoy a different program of activities every month!
Fun and Ageless offers fun-loving seniors’ opportunities to work, play, learn, collaborate, and innovate together.
Utilising the Club’s fabulous facilities and resources, the programs include excursions, workshops, craft, lunch dates, interesting expert talks, movie mornings, phone workshops, educational opportunities and fundraising events to assist charities – plus much more.
We believe that amazing things happen when people have the opportunity to share and collaborate. Our hope is to reduce isolation among the aged, promote cross-generational inclusion and skill sharing to engage members of the community who would not otherwise normally do so.
Register for the Fun & Ageless group by filling out the below form so that you can receive emails regarding upcoming events, or call reception on 5534 7999 to register.
