The eleventh hour of the eleventh day on the eleventh month of the year 2019 will mark the 101st Anniversary of the signing of the Armistice signifying the end of World War One.
It is at this time our nation pauses to acknowledge with sadness the extraordinary loss these young nations, Australia and New Zealand suffered as a result of the Great War.
Currumbin RSL will reflect on our national losses from all wars and conflicts that have occurred during the last century and in doing so, acknowledge the extraordinary obligations that have fallen upon young Australians, in pursuit of world peace. As proud Australians and New Zealanders, we will always remember them.
On behalf of Currumbin Palm Beach RSL, our President Michael Humpheys extends an invitation to the community. You are welcome to join us and to lay a Cross of Remembrance and reflect on the past efforts of those who gave their lives for us to be where we are today – living in peace in the most beautiful country on earth.
All are welcome to attend the one hour service from 10am.
Lest We Forget.
