The nanoKnowledge® Pathways to Excel @ Hospitality™ program provides premium quality experiential learning programs in Hospitality Leadership. Their programs are supported by an array of world class hospitality brands, including leading schools of hospitality, international hotels and fashionable resorts, as well as avant-garde community clubs, food and beverage venues. As a result of a recent visit to Queensland by David Tham and Casey Ho, the managing directors of nanoKnowledge Australia and Singapore, Currumbin RSL and Ignite Education have been selected as partners for the nanoKnowledge Hospitality program on the Gold Coast. The tour will last for 5 days, from the 6th April to the 10th April. Students will experience a day at the famous Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, a day at the International Hotel School @ Versace and shopping at Robina, a day at the student campus at Southern Cross University and a day with Currumbin RSL and Ignite Education. The tour day with Currumbin RSL and Ignite Education will focus on Community Branding in the Hospitality Industry. Currumbin RSL will show students how a multi-award-winning club is involved with the local community, and how it has actively reduced its carbon footprint to set the benchmark for other clubs. Students will also meet with the inspirational staff and enthusiastic students of the club’s very own hospitality training college Ignite Education. With the Ignite Education team they will learn how hospitality skills training are conducted in Australia. They will also meet a panel of industry professionals who can share about why they chose to pursue a career in hospitality. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about another’s learning culture and view of the world of hospitality.  The panel of professionals includes;

  • Jane Renata, Principal at Ignite Education
  • Anne Stovin, CEO of the Currumbin RSL Group
  • Peter Doggett, CEO Connecting Southern Gold Coast
  • Amery Burleigh, General Manager Sofitel Broadbeach
  • Elizabeth Roberts, Dean of Southern Cross University

Other team/character building activities will include a ‘Bring a Dish’ night. Students will team up with trainers from Ignite Education and work together to learn new cooking skills and create a meal for each team. Currumbin RSL and Ignite Education are delighted to be partners with a company that brings tourism, hospitality and education together through World Class programs of excellence.
