Beer’autiful Support for Veterans

Serendipitously launched on February 14 – both Valentine’s Day and more significantly, National Servicemen’s Day (AKA Nasho’s Day), there’s a lot of love, thought and passion that has gone into producing F88 Premium Lager.

Spinifex Brewing Co is Veteran owned and supports the mental and physical wellbeing of returned service men and women using the world’s first dedicated military beer through the Spinifex F88 Campaign.

Director of Sales at Spinifex Brewery Co in WA, Adam Barnard says, “As a former soldier and veteran myself I’m delighted that Currumbin RSL has joined with us to stock F88 Lager for takeaway sales. Following two years of development we believe we have produced an incredible beer with an incredible purpose.

Adam explains, “The F88 Campaign is dedicated to the memory of 8246320 Signaller Geffrey Gregg (Afghanistan) who sadly took his life on September 23rd 2006 as a result of his struggle with PTSD. The F88 Campaign will see a staggering 50% of profits donated to veteran mental health charities and with your support we believe we can raise millions of dollars to assist in addressing the very real challenges of veteran mental health and suicide prevention. We hope in time F88 Lager will be available on tap at Currumbin RSL and become a beer of choice for serving and ex-serving members and veterans around Australia.”

Named after the current service rifle used in the ADF – The F88 Austeyr, Spinifex Brewing Co has collaborated with their mates from a brewery in Rouse Hill, NSW to produce F88 Lager making it a team effort spanning across Australia. The light coloured summer style lager has its own great hops flavour and is an easy drinking beer with a pleasant aroma.

La Bocca Bottleshop has just been stocked up with F88 Lager cans for takeaway sales.
