THE HEART OF OUR COMMUNITY

For more than 75 years, Currumbin RSL has been at the heart of the Southern Gold Coast – a place where community, connection, and respect for service come together.

COMMUNITY BENEFIT

The Currumbin RSL Group holds a united mission: to be a proud, purpose-driven community hub that honours our past while building a brighter future. Over the past five years, we’ve donated more than $5.4 million to veteran services, education programs and local community groups.

As a proud social enterprise, every meal shared, every event hosted and every dollar spent in our venues helps create something bigger. The revenue generated through our Club is reinvested back into the people, groups and causes that make our community strong.

Through our Community Benefit Program and newly introduced Community Grants Program, we provide structured, transparent funding to eligible organisations delivering local impact. Community groups are encouraged to apply.

Round 2 applications open 1 August 2026.

We support veteran services through the Currumbin Palm Beach RSL Sub-Branch and Veterans’ Support Centre, grassroots sport, arts and cultural events, schools, not-for-profits and our Fun & Ageless seniors program — alongside providing venue access, vouchers, fundraising support and weekly raffle opportunities.

If your organisation aligns with our values, we invite you to connect.

When you support Currumbin RSL, you’re supporting your community.

SPONSORSHIPS

Currumbin RSL is proud to support local organisations through meaningful sponsorship partnerships that strengthen connection and community spirit across the Southern Gold Coast.

We are long-standing supporters of grassroots sport, including the Currumbin Eagles and Palm Beach Touch Football, providing financial and in-kind assistance to help these clubs thrive. From junior participation to senior competition, our sponsorships help create opportunities for inclusion, healthy lifestyles and strong local networks.

These partnerships go beyond branding — they reflect our commitment to investing in organisations that bring people together and build community pride.

If your club or organisation aligns with our values and would like to explore sponsorship opportunities, we encourage you to reach out and connect with our team.

SUSTAINABILITY

At Currumbin RSL, sustainability is about protecting our environment while strengthening our community. Through solar energy, improved waste management, recycling initiatives and plastic reduction programs, we are actively reducing our environmental footprint and lowering emissions.

The Seed the Ground program transforms food scraps and coffee grounds into compost for the Veterans’ Backyard, creating a closed-loop system that supports wellbeing and local food production. Partnerships with organisations like OzHarvest and participation in community clean-up initiatives extend our impact beyond our venue.

Sustainability isn’t just operational — it’s our responsibility to future generations and the community we serve.

FUN & AGELESS

If you are 60+, a member of Currumbin RSL, love life and enjoy new experiences, we have some exciting programs on the calendar. We offer a range of different activities to suit all walks of life. Meet new people and create lasting relationships and memories!

SUPPORTING LOCAL ARTS

At Currumbin RSL, we’re proud to champion the arts as part of our commitment to giving back to our community. Through our Local Artist Feature initiative, we pay local artists for their work and showcase it on the covers of our menus, giving them both financial support and valuable exposure. It’s our way of celebrating and promoting the incredible talent in our own community.

JULIA BUDDEN
Artist

Julia Budden is a mixed media Artist, working from her studio nestled amongst the mountains and waterfalls of Springbrook QLD. She is inspired by wild places of great natural beauty. Julia has painted and created alongside her career as a Landscape Designer for over 20 years, which has quietly informed her art through her sensitivity to colour, light, plants and water. The beauty and peace of a day spent at the beach, or the colours of a lily pond on a humid evening walking her dog, are translated onto the canvas with her abstract use of colour, expressionistic brush strokes and mood.

Julia works mainly in acrylic paints along with mixed media, including cyanotype or collage, to capture the energy of a place in nature. Her layered forms and dappled marks evoke the feeling of being at home in nature, alive with light, beauty and freedom. Nature and the feeling of ‘home’ it provides to Julia, wherever she finds herself located in her life, has been part of the story of her art for a number of years. Wild places like Currumbin, full of life and beauty , are a constant solace and inspiration. She feels extremely grateful to now call the beautiful Gold Coast and Hinterland home, and continues to explore all it offers through her art.

“Inspiration for ‘Across the lagoon’ came after a lovely afternoon walk along the lagoon, wading in the shimmering light on the water with my son, with views across to the playground park area.”
