Over 1200 guests from across the State attended the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre event to see Currumbin RSL take home the four awards, including;

  • Best Club Gold Coast
  • Best Dining for Alleys Restaurant
  • Best Licensed RSL
  • The Government Special Achievement Award for Responsible Gambling.

General Manager, Anne Stovin continues to deliver success for the best little club in the world, having now won 10 awards across two years, including the Queensland Club of the Year in 2014. Currumbin RSL provides exceptional on premise dining via their award winning Alleys Restaurant.  The ethos “Think Global, Love Local” is evidenced through sourcing local suppliers and using fresh ingredients direct from their sustainable vegetable gardens.  The restaurant is also the driving force behind the Club’s recycling initiatives with scraps used to feed the worm farms and the staff diligent in using the bio bins – meaning waste offsite has been reduced by 10 tonnes per annum. Executive Chef Felicity Best has been with the Club for over 12 months and was ecstatic about the win.  She and Food and Beverage Manager Andrew Crabtree went on stage to receive the award. “We couldn’t wait to get back to the Club and share the news with everyone.  Our staff are an incredible group of people; friendly, professional and always willing to go above and beyond.  While we know this already, it’s fantastic to have this acknowledged at a state level.” Said Mr. Crabtree
