ANZAC DAY FLY-PASTS

On ANZAC Day there will be be a dawn service fly-past & mid-morning service fly-past.

Dawn Service:

The Fighter Pilot Collection is working closely with Currumbin RSL Sub branch and incorporating a wider group of RSL/memorial locations between Tweed Heads and Noosa to create a memorable 2022 ANZAC Day.

This comprehensive fly-past is made possible by the generosity of the aircraft operators at “Fighter Pilot Adventure Flights’, Archerfield, and their desire to meaningfully exhibit their respect and gratitude to those who have served and who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

The group is providing two extremely historic aircraft being a MkXVI Spitfire and P51 Mustang for this series of flypasts, and is being done for goodwill and not profit.

It is estimated these aircrafts will fly over Elephant Rock at 6:03am.

Mid-Morning Service:

An F18 Super Hornet will fly-past the Currumbin RSL mid-morning service at Currumbin RSL’s cenotaph at a scheduled time of 11:11am. The Super Hornet will approach along the creek from West to East with an altitude between 500 – 1000 feet.
