Award Winning Alleys Restaurant has a new winter menu to keep you toasty and there’s so many mouth-watering dishes to choose from including some enchanting warm winter desserts…
Let’s begin with the starters. The ‘Salt and Three Pepper Chicken Tenders’ dish is nothing to sneeze at! Not just one, but three types of pepper: Szechuan, kibbled black pepper and mountain pepper. The juicy chicken tenders are crunchy on the outside, gluten friendly and served with salad and creamy kewpie mayo on the side.
If you’d like some pork on your fork, then the ‘Pork Ball Salad Bowl’ is for you. The delightful pork balls have a flavoursome chilli, sesame and ginger dipping sauce and a salad of crispy noodles, peanuts, fried shallots and aromatic shredded cabbage. I know of one staff member who’s enjoyed them nearly every day for lunch…
For something a little bit different try the ‘Nduja w/ Ciabatta Bruschetta’. Tricky to say but oh so easy to devour, Nduja is pronounced ‘en-doo-ya’. This spicy spreadable salami is locally made and served with a bruschetta mix, fetta and ciabatta.
Now onto mains just briefly before we get to those dreamy desserts I mentioned. The ‘Sesame Crusted Barramundi’, served in a Thai yellow curry broth with fragrant wild rice and a crunchy Asian salad is one of the most popular, as is the Chicken Scallopini. This gluten friendly chicken dish is flavoured with marsala and has a mushroom sauce with celeriac mash as well as roasted root vegetables.
You’ve eaten all of your dinner and now it’s party time. Because you deserve it. And according to someone very close to me, there’s always room for dessert. The ‘Fig and Sticky Date Pudding’ to date (see what I did there!) has quickly become an Alleys favourite with its scrumptious macadamia praline crumbs, vanilla ice cream and salted caramel butterscotch.
Then there’s the ‘Warm White Chocolate and Macadamia Pudding’. I imaged that the pudding would be a ramekin full of white goodness but it’s even better than that. Served with vanilla ice cream, the pudding is a divine golden colour from the lip-smacking butterscotch sauce!
