Hussy Hicks & Anarchist Duck with Isaac Paddon
30th July 2010, 7:00pm
Join us Friday July 30 for great live entertainment with Hussy Hicks, Anarchist Duck and Isaac Paddon.
There are dozens of words that can describe the music of the Hussy Hicks – passionate, spontaneous, exuberant, emotive, intricate, explosive and fun spring to mind – but there is nothing that can adequately describe the feeling that swells in the heart of their audience during a live performance. Their set touches upon funk?gypsy through folk/country to high energy blues/roots and with their harmonies and intense rhythms they pump out a heck of a lot of sound for two small girls. Anarchist Duck will set their scene with an organic set of funk rock, heavy fillets of reggae and infectious, almost tribal grooves and all served up with live energy! myspace page
The best way to describe Isaac Paddon’s music is raw organic folk rock, with a smooth taste of the Caribbean. With strong influences from artist like Neil young, Bob Marley and the Wailers, The Beatles, Jeff Buckley and Bob Dylan to name a few. His songs have meaning, are sung with passion, and performed with bursting emotion. myspace page
