Christmas by the Sea @ The Palm Beach Parklands
12th December 2011, 4:30pm - 8:30pm
Christmas by the Sea is brought to you by Community by the Sea, a committee made up of local business leaders, local council, police, youth workers and local Church. The committee was formed by people passionate about giving back to the community by offering events for both young and not so young.
So from The Pines Elanora, Gold Coast City Council Division 13, Currumbin RSL, C3 Church at Currumbin, Scisco, McDonalds at Palm Beach & Elanora, Elanora Police Beat, Stagg Chilli and Bendigo Bank at Tugun we look forward to you joining us for our Christmas extravaganza!
We have also been fortunate enough to receive sponsorship from other community minded businesses such as:
Reed Construction, PHJ Services, Ignite Education, In The Bin, Sign-a-rama and Inkspot NRMA and PCYC and also thank you to our media sponsor, The Sun Community Newspaper

From 4.30pm let the sweet sounds of the Jazz Band greet you while you settle in. Kids enjoy face painting and a barnyard animal enclosure complete with a nativity scene backdrop created by Thrower House. Then get your photo taken in one of the face cut outs created by Arcadia and of course let Santa know what you want for Christmas! We only ask for a gold coin donation for these activities which will go toward this year’s chosen charities, Blair Athol Accommodation Services and Currumbin Wildlife Animal Hospital.*
From 5.30pm enjoy the melodious harmonies of the Currumbin Primary School Choir before the C3 Band and guests sing all your favourite carols. Be enthralled by our lantern parade orchestrated by Currumbin Primary Grade 5 students and enjoy food and drink available from Dune Café or our sausage sizzle and Stagg Chilli nachos tent.
Bring a picnic blanket, the whole family and enjoy an evening of Christmas cheer under the stars
