‘Tis Irish Live, Saturday August 28
August 4, 2010
Currumbin RSL had Irish band ‘Tis perform at the Club for St Patricks day. The entertainment manager was told by other venues that this was one of the best Irish bands in Queensland and from the comments received by both patrons and staff alike, this was a true statement.
‘Tis were highly entertaining, engaging and energetic. Tis’ wide repertoire of great Irish music features everything from the traditional to contemporary. The band is all about fun and they love to involve the audience with requests, sing-alongs and enough music and mayhem to keep anyone pumped for an entire week.
Of themselves ‘TIS says “We are a Queensland based Irish Band who have been keepin’ the coast, and ourselves, jiggin’ & reelin’ for years. We try not to take ourselves too seriously… or anything else come to think of it! We do live Irish music from the traditional to the current day stuff with no drum machines, sequencers or artificial colours and flavourings… just raw and real… and sometimes very messy! These days, ‘TIS…. can be anywhere from three up to 6 band members depending on who is able to get out of bed in time! Our philosophy is if it’s not about the Craic – then what the hell are we doin’ here? Our aim is to ensure our audiences have a great time with plenty of sing-alongs, fun and laughs.
So come along and enjoy the craic and free live entertainment from 7pm Saturday August 28.
