Executive Chef

Jiri Solnicka has been producing exquisite food for 30 years. His experience spans the globe and includes hands on experience as head chef for five star restaurants and hotels, silver service waiter and resort manager.

He moved to Australia 28 years ago with his wife and has worked as Executive Chef on Fraiser Islands Resort and Sea World Nara Resort, where he spent 16 years overseeing three kitchens, six food outlets and 400 resort rooms.

Jiri is now the executive chef of Alleys, Dune Cafe at the Palm Beach Parklands and catering company Foodoo

Sous Chef

Adam Paenga has worked at Alleys Restaurant for 10 years and his passion for food and creativeness in the kitchen has led him to be a firm favourite to our Alleys regulars.

Junior Sous Chef

Scott Atwood has lived in the local area most of his life and did his apprenticeship at Conrad Jupiters Hotel, working in every department including fine dining at Charters Towers, Andiamo as well as pastry, garde manger, butchery, fish shop, Spinners and Food Fantasy.

Scott has won gold at the Salon Culinare for his large margarine sculpture.

From there he travelled around Australia on a working honeymoon touring in a kombi, working his way from Cape Tribulation to Fremantle and back.

He also worked for 3 years in a popular Kingscliff Thai restaurant, where he developed his love for Asian cookery.

he has now worked at Currumbin RSL for 3 years and enjoys working with such a talented team and friendly crew, and looks forward to new projects like cooking with produce from our own community garden, coming soon
